UOC church in Dobropillia damaged by Russian shelling
Walls, roof, and church furnishings sustained damage.
On May 6, 2025, the Church of St. Ambrose of Optina of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the city of Dobropillia, Donetsk region, was damaged as a result of a direct hit by two Russian Shahed drones, according to the press service of the Pokrovsk Vicariate.
The church was struck at 6:18 a.m.
The blast damaged the walls, roof, and interior furnishings. The inside of the church is now covered with dust and debris.
As previously reported by the UOJ, the Ascension Church in Novopavlivka was destroyed by shelling.
