Military Enlistment Office detains Metropolitan Boholep of Oleksandriia

On July 15, 2025, personnel from the Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC) detained Metropolitan Boholep (Honcharenko) of Oleksandriia and Svitlovodsk. According to UOJ sources, he was not taken to the military unit. The hierarch was issued a draft summons and an administrative protocol. He is currently at liberty.
Metropolitan Boholep is 47 years old. Like other members of the episcopate and clergy, he does not have an exemption from mobilization, and under current law he can be sent to the front on general grounds.
It will be recalled that the authorities have already mobilized several UOC priests. Some were released, while others were sent to military units.
