In the American state of Michigan, a 31-year-old man drove his truck into a Protestant church building and opened fire on the parishioners. One person was injured, the attacker was neutralized on the spot.
The incident occurred in the city of Wayne during a public event dedicated to summer camps for children. The church was filled with families with children at that moment. The perpetrator broke into the premises during a performance.
According to live broadcast footage, parishioners were seen fleeing the hall in panic and trying to take cover behind chairs.
According to the news release, the shooter was neutralized by an armed church security guard. The only victim was a man who sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. His life is not in danger.
Currently, the police have cordoned off the area and are conducting an investigation. The motives of the gunman have not yet been established.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that in Syria, terrorists killed 15 people in an Orthodox church.
