On May 20, 2025, in the village of Stari Broskivtsi, raiders from the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) seized Peter and Paul's Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC). This is reported by the believers of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy.
It is noted that the supporters of the Dumenko structure were led by OCU chaplains.
Several police units were present at the scene.
Also, as reported from the scene, the attackers planned to seize another temple in the village – the Paraskeva Church of the UOC. However, they abandoned their idea as a large number of Orthodox Christians managed to come to defend their shrine.
The believers do not rule out an attempt to seize the Paraskeva Church in the near future.
As reported by the UOJ, earlier in Zastavna, Bukovyna, OCU raiders seized the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the UOC.
