UOC's Sunday school teachers invited to participate in forum in Kyiv

On May 2, 2025, Kyiv will host a conference for Sunday school teachers and youth group leaders titled “Paschal Educational Meetings.” According to the press service of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), clergy, educators, parents, active laypeople, and those responsible for youth work in UOC eparchies and parishes are invited to attend.

The program includes joint prayer, presentations by hierarchs, clergy, instructors from theological institutions, and educators from across Ukraine. There will also be practical workshops for working with teenagers and group sessions to discuss difficult issues and seek solutions.

The conference will feature the presentation of the “Kosma” educational portal and the teenage program “Foundations of the Orthodox Family.” Topics covered will include adolescent psycho-emotional crises, family conflicts, separation, the search for authority, loss of meaning, falling away from the Church, addiction, early sexual relationships, and the influence of destructive subcultures, sects, and trends on youth. A roundtable discussion will follow the main sessions.

The forum is organized by the Orthodox educational portal Kosma with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy and with the support of the Kyiv Metropolis and the Synodal Youth and Catechetical Departments of the UOC.
