On April 19, 2025, at 14:36 Kyiv time, the Holy Fire descended in the Church of the Resurrection of Christ over the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. The live broadcast of the service was conducted by the One Day YouTube channel.

The ceremony during which the Holy Fire descended was led by the Patriarch of Jerusalem, Theophilos III.

Patriarch Theophilos, together with clergy and faithful, first circled the Edicule three times in a solemn procession. Then, dressed only in a simple cassock, holding unlit candles and without any means that could suggest a worldly origin of the Holy Fire, he entered the Edicule and offered prayer.

If the Fire descends, we understand it as a sign that the Lord has granted us another chance for repentance and correction.

As reported by the UOJ, the Patriarch of Jerusalem expressed concern over the situation involving a hierarch of the Moldovan Church.
