Monastic tonsures performed in UOC's Alexandrian and Mukachevo Eparchies

On April 13, 2025, two clerics of the Alexandrian Eparchy were tonsured as monks. On April 14, a monk was tonsured at the Chervonohorsky Monastery in the Mukachevo Eparchy. The events were reported by the press services of both Alexandrian and Mukachevo eparchies.
The monastic tonsure of Priest Konstantin Kulbashnyi and Deacon Volodymyr Ryabets of the Alexandrian Eparchy was performed by Metropolitan Boholep of Oleksandriia and Svitlovodsk at the Intercession Cathedral in the city of Oleksandriia.
The newly tonsured monks received the names Cleopa and Spyridon. Their spiritual sponsor was Archimandrite Seraphim (Krasnov).
Following the rite, the metropolitan congratulated the new monks and offered them words of spiritual guidance.
In the Mukachevo Eparchy, Metropolitan Feodor of Mukachevo and Uzhhorod tonsured novice Myroslav Herts of the All-Saints Chervonohorsky Monastery.
He received the monastic name Nectarios, in honor of St. Nectarios of Aegina.
After the service, Metropolitan Feodor congratulated Bishop Hilary of Svaliava, abbot of the monastery, and the brethren on the addition to their monastic family. He wished the newly tonsured monk Nectarios steadfast faith, a spirit of prayer, zeal for salvation, genuine obedience, and endurance in bearing the cross of the monastic life.
As previously reported by the UOJ, on Holy Monday Metropolitan Agapit of Mohyliv-Podilskyi and Sharhorod tonsured Archpriest Ioann into the Great Schema, giving him the name Sergius, in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
