In the village of Stari Broskivtsi in Bukovyna, on 3 March 2025, a group of OCU activists, led by raider Hryshchuk, planned to secretly forge documents for two UOC churches – St. Peter and Paul’s Church and St. Paraskeva’s Church, reports the Dozor_kozak1 Telegram channel.

The priests of the churches learned about this secret meeting only an hour before it began. The clergy quickly gathered with some of the parishioners and went to the local club, where the event had been announced.

There were no activists there, and the believers publicly confirmed their decision to remain in the UOC.

An hour late, representatives of the OCU arrived at the club.

"The presence of a hundred parishioners frightened a few dozen activists. They caused a scandal and created chaos," the message states. "One of the leaders of the raiders claimed they allegedly had permission from the OCU to hold the meeting. She lied, because it later turned out that the papers were for 'holding a prayer service'."

The OCU supporters carried out their vote without observing any formalities, voting "as one package" for both churches at once.

A dozen people out of all those present raised their hands "for the transition to the OCU". The raiders then announced the "unanimous decision".

"The farce was videotaped. Later, the lying raiders of Epifaniy reported '340 votes for the transition' (again, the video clearly shows the dozen people from which that number was made up)," the channel commented.

The UOJ previously reported on the criminal scheme of the OCU in Chernivtsi.
