On February 21, 2025, in the Old City of Jerusalem, a man attacked a woman with an axe, inflicting severe injuries, Al Jazeera reports.

According to reports, the attacker was a Jewish man, and the victim was also Jewish, a resident of a nearby Israeli settlement.

Eyewitnesses stated that the suspect shouted "Christian!" at the woman as she passed by, then pulled out an axe and struck her before fleeing the scene.

The attacker has not yet been apprehended, and police continue their search.

Earlier, it was reported on how many Christians remain in Gaza, according to the Patriarch of Jerusalem.
