On March 6, 2021, at a meeting of representatives of the parliament and diplomats of Ukraine with Patriarch Bartholomew, MP Bohdan Yaremenko said that "Servants of the People" had been negotiating with the head of Phanar for a long time.

Yaremenko said that earlier he "was blessed to meet" with Patriarch Bartholomew on several occasions at the Consulate General of Ukraine in Istanbul. According to him, it was "a great time and an opportunity to learn from you."

He noted that at that time he represented the Ukrainian people and discussed with Patriarch Bartholomew "possibilities and prospects of reuniting the Ukrainian Orthodox Church."

The deputy stressed that, preparing for the meeting with Patriarch Bartholomew, the members of the Ukrainian delegation “visited not only the President of Ukraine and received his best words and address to you,” but also “visited Metropolitan Epiphany and talked to him; he is sending letters to you with congratulations and some other correspondence which it is my honor to pass to your attention."

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that according to Bogdan Yaremenko, who was disgraced by chatting with prostitutes, he represented the interests of his constituencies in Phanar.
